The United Nations Development Programme seeks candidtates for the positions of Management Consultant and Technical Consultant under its Sustainable Development Networking Programme.

The Sustainable Development Networking Programme (SDNP) is a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) initiative that seeks to improve information flows within and among countries on techniques and technologies to ensure that their development activities are sustainable. It utilizes computer mediated communications such as the Intenret to facilitate information exchange.

Specifically:
The Management Consultant would be required to assess the demand and need for Sustainable Development information so that the technical and operational requirements of the SDNP may be defined, assess the political and institutional environments in Guyana in order to define the optimum location and organisational configuration of the SDN, scan for interim financial support, plan for building acceptance and ownership, and identify entrepreneurial centers.

The successful candidate for this post must possess post-graduate qualifications in any social science field, and at least 10 years experience in development related activities.

The Technical Consultant would be required to assess present technical capabilities so that the equipment, personnel and training requirements for operationalizing the SDNP can be determined.

The successful candidate must possess a degree in Computer Science with at least 7 years experience in the field.
